Lesotho was a British protectorate until it became independent in 1965. With 100 miles diameter and 1.8 million people,
the lowest point of the country is at 4700' and the highest at 11423'. Most of the water from Lesotho enter South Africa
in the Orange River and follow a lazy path of 1250 miles in the flat land of the Karoo toward the Atlantic Ocean.
