| I asked Jeff (caption & phone) "what do you fish with these big hoses?". When Jeff answered me "diamonds", I just said "you wish you would"! Then he explained me in a few minutes. We vacuum the bottom of the sea, suck the stones, presort them on the boat and when the boat is loaded with 4 tons of stones, we came back to unload it. We go up to 40km away from here, dive in swimsuit 10 to 15 meters deep on a shift of 2 hours every 2 hours all day long in this water of 46ºF !!! Then Jeff called his wife Laura, "Go see Laura, go to see my friend George at the diamond museum and they will explain you more about what we do here. "Did you get rich doing that?", "Not yet but I am working on it" !!! |
